The Bar at the Royal Oak has the look and feel of a traditional old English inn, complete with horse brasses, oak beams and an open fireplace which holds a roaring fire in the winter months. The bar is a great place to meet family and friends and relax with a drink.
A selection of cask conditioned real ales, lagers and cider are served, together with a wide range of spirits and soft drinks. A wide selection of fine wines are available by the glass and by the bottle. Coffees and teas are served all day from 11:30am.
Our lunchtime menu is available in the bar and the restaurant, and includes a choice of sandwiches, baguettes, and soft tortilla wraps, as well as traditional favourites such as cheddar & stilton ploughman’s lunches, and homemade steak ale and mushroom pies. A selection of delicious homemade desserts are also available if you still have room for pudding!
Throughout the winter months a quiz night is held every Sunday at 8pm, with proceeds being donated to a local charity. In the summer months, the Royal Oak competes in the Sunday Petanque League, so why not come and try the game for yourself or come and support the team.
The bar at the Royal Oak is open all day every day from 11:30am (3pm on Mondays), and Anthony, Ruth and Peter look forward to welcoming you soon. |
